Puttur: Illegal cattle transport stopped; two accused flee

Puttur, Nov 10: A case of illegal cattle transport was intercepted by the police near Bellichadavu, Ishwara Mangala, on Saturday.

The police seized a pickup vehicle that was transporting four cattle.

Some local activists helped unload and tend to the cattle; however, it was reported that one calf had died.

Two suspects managed to escape and are currently at large.
