Bantwal, Dec 11: The annual feast of Our Lady of Fathima Church, Pervai, was grandly celebrated on Saturday December 10. The Eucharistic Mass was held at 10.30 am. Fr Jerald D’Souza, the Vicar of Puttur Varado, offered the festal mass.
The sermon pointed out the importance of the intervention of Mother Mary to seek God. As this year is specially dedicated as ‘the year of faith’, the stress was laid on Mother Mary in building the family and the faith.
There were as many as 13 priests from Vittal, Maril, Manela, Uppinangadi, Sullia, Sampaje, and Jeppu seminary and Fr.Andrew D’Souza, the parish priest, also joined the festal Mass.
ICYM and YCS, the youth clubs of the church, organized various games and fairs for the parishioners on the occasion.
