Bhatkal: Assadullah Sports Club Organizes District Level Cricket Tourney

Bhatkal, Dec 12: The district level Cricket tournament organized by the Assadullah Sports Club was inaugurated here at ANFA kola ground on Sunday December 11.

President of TMC and Assadullah Sports Club Inayatullah Shabandari and Rotary Club member and Golden Gym owner Nazeer Kashimji were guests at the occasion.

Congress leader Sadiq Matta and Naseef Khalifa among others were present.

First Match of the tourney was played between winners of Hitzz T20 ANFA and Honnavar Tulsi teams. ANFA won the toss and chose to bat and amassed a 141/7 score in 20 overs. Star player of the team Imran Lanka scored only 16 where as Abdul Bari scored a good 44 runs.

Tulsi Honnavar team in reply achieved the target in 19 over and won the match throwing ANFA out of the tourney. Deepak of Tulsi Honnavar scored 25 runs and picked 5 wickets for the team.

Shaheen Karwar and Cosmos Bhatkal clashed in the afternoon match where in Cosmos won the match by 4 wickets.

Shaheen Karwar won the toss and scored 119/10 in 19.2 over. Cosmos team’s Imran gave batsmen a tough time, in 4 overs he has given only 16 runs and taken 2 important wickets.

Cosmos Bhatkal chased the target in 19 over for the loss of 6 wickets. Danish, scored 37 and was crowned man of the match.
