Sullia: Body Found in Car Kept in Garage for Sale

Sullia, Dec 13: Corpse of a man was found inside a Maruti Zen car that had been parked in a garage near Old Gate in the town, on Monday December 12.

The body has been identified to be that of Chidanand Naik (35), a resident of Kudpaje near Jayanagar here. Naik was a habitual drunkard, and his addiction to liquor is believed to have caused his death.

The car had been parked in the garage since the last several days, and it was completely covered in dust. On Monday, stench had spread in the garage area. An intending buyer who visited the garage in the meanwhile, wanted to check the condition of the above car. When the door of the car was opened, the body of Naik was found lying in the front seat.

The local policemen have registered a case. Investigation has been taken up.
