Mangalore: BSNL Theft - Kadri Police Arrest Four

Mangalore, Dec.14: Kadri police have succeeded in arresting four thieves and recovering some of the valuables stolen from BSNL office here on Tuesday, December 13.

The arrested are Harish Narayan Pujari (35) of Kuloor, Deepak Nagappa Pujari (36) of Trasi in Kundapur, Vishwanath Sundar Devadiga (28) of Perinje-Hosangadi, and Santhosh Aitappa Pujari (23) of Mittabail, Moodbidri.

Subramanya Bhat, sub-divisional engineer of BSNL store yard, had lodged a complaint in Urva police station, according to which the thieves had stolen goods worth of Rs 7, 20,911. However, the accused are said to have sold some of the stolen things to stores in Yeyyadi.

Harish and Deepak already have cases lodged against them in Bajpe, Bantwal, Pandeshwar, Bandaru, Urva police stations in connection with various theft issues.

C Kiran, Siddegowda H Bajantri, Sukumaran, Harish Padavinangadi, Subramanya K, Yashwant Konchadi, Veerabhadra Suratkal and Prakash Nayak were part of the operation, led by police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, DCP Dharmaiah, ACP Ravindra Gadadi and others.
