Mangalore: 'Kanoon Divo' Penned by Advocate Stanley D'Costa Released

Mangalore, Dec 16: 'Kanoon Divo' a book on law in Konkani by advocate Stanley D'Costa was released here on Thursday December 15.

Addressing the media, he said that the book aims to spread awareness about existing laws in the country.

The book is in its third edition, and throws light on 30 legal aspects regarding family issues, penalities for crimes, sexual harassment at work place, passport act, corruption, etc.

Basti Vaman Shenoy, chairperson, Konkani Language and Cultural Trust, and S P Chengappa, chairman, Mangalore Bar Council and others were present.

The book has been published by Ashling Publication, Bendore.

Stanley was awarded the Konkani Sahitya Academy award in 2010 for his book 'Konkani Mahet'.
