Mangalore, Dec 16: Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat (ZP) chief executive officer (CEO), Dr K N Vijay Prakash, expressed anguish at the functioning styles of officials attached to different departments under the zilla panchayat for faring well below the targets, and showing progress that is unsatisfactory. He was speaking after presiding over a meeting of the officials under the ZP under Karnataka Development Programme, held at Netravati Hall of the ZP on Thursday December 15.
He set a deadline of 15 days for the officials to show improvement and complete the tasks allotted to them.
During the review of performances of various departments, he asked the officials to complete drinking water projects on priority and take steps to ensure that no villages in the district faces drinking water shortage during summer.
