Bengaluru, Dec 6: In a sharp rebuttal to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his tirade against JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda and Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy for preventing the rise of Vokkaliga leaders in JDS, Kumaraswamy has attacked Siddaramaiah of scuttling Dalit leader and AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge from becoming the Chief Minister.
Kumaraswamy, has in a post on social media platform X, lambasted Siddaramaiah for turning the ruling Congress party’s convention in Hassan on Thursday into his own self-glorification show, and claimed that the Chief Minister was a ‘most selfish person’, who had pushed Kharge into Delhi politics through his ‘groupism and strategies’.
The JDS leader accused Siddaramaiah of occupying the Chief Minister’s post in 2013 by ensuring the defeat of the then KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar in the assembly elections and also of pulling down all other “original” Congressmen through his AHINDA movement.
Terming Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as ‘Dongiramaiah’, Kumaraswamy said that he had conspired to prevent Deputy Chief Minister and present KPCC President D K Shivakuamr, whom he termed as ‘Kanakapura Bande’, from becoming the Chief Minister.
Earlier in the day, the Union Minister participated in the Mahaparinirvan Diwas to mark the death anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar at Parliament Bhavan in New Delhi in the present of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Former President Ramanath Kovind, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh, AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge and other union ministers were also present.
