Bantwal: MLA Rajesh Naik urges beneficiaries to use govt-sponsored equipment for livelihood

Bantwal, Dec 6: Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippady emphasized that the government provides various tools and equipment to economically backward eligible beneficiaries, encouraging them to utilize these resources to enhance their income and lead a dignified life.

Speaking during the distribution of equipment approved by the labor department and the D Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation at his office, the MLA noted that 36 beneficiaries received tailoring machines under the corporation's initiative. He added that out of 126 applications submitted, 36 have been approved, and the remaining eligible applicants will be selected once additional equipment is sanctioned.

Through the labor department, 318 masons in Bantwal constituency have received kits, along with 101 welders and 63 electricians, amounting to a total of 482 beneficiaries. Symbolic distribution of these kits was conducted during the event. Additionally, 36 women beneficiaries were provided with sewing machines.

The event was attended by D Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation district managing director Manjunath, Bantwal labor inspector Lavina D’Souza, and office staff members Shashidhar and Murali.
