Mangalore, Dec 30: In yet another case of drowning, a man and his nephew were swept away by the waves at Tannirbavi beach here on Friday December 30.
William D'Souza (58) and his nephew Haren D'Souza (15) are the deceased. The incident took place at around 4.30 pm.
The two, along with their families were on an outing at the beach. They were about 20 people in all, and some of them went into the water to play. Haren went a little too far and got washed away. William at once swam towards Haren to save him, but he too met the same fate.
