Lots of stupid wildlife photographers these days in forests carrying big lenses. These guys do not know how to respect the animal's space and get killed for a good photo. These photographers should be impermanently banned by the forest department.

Things r very clear from the pictures.... its humans who have enraged these gentle gaints, if left alone they just move away and why cant people understand that!!!!!!!!!!!!! have also seen these local channel n press people running behind any wild animal coming close to human habitation this makes them nervous and charge back in defence. Any mother would definitely come forward to protect her young ones and so is the case other animals tooo..... i find it stupidity to call an elephant rouge when people themselves act as one in front of the confused animal!!!!!!! lets save these species, as our survival is dependent on their survival.

How foolish is your comment? For starters Yeddy is not the chief minister now and you venture into a forest area, if you don't come across wild animals should we see you people there?

From these pics, it appears as though the people were having "FUN" with the herd. This is clearly a case of harassment!! Understandable, as probably these people have seen elephants only in a Circus or a Zoo...

So sorry to hear a IT employee Jumbroo Soorappa Ramesh also a amateur photographer was killed by an elephant. May his soul RIP. This a lesson for others who go into the wild to shoot pictures. The photographs itself shows how crazy the people are to take pictures of these wild elephants. These animals are quite unless they are provoked and disturbed. I remember many years back a man who tried to feed stones repeatedly was crushed to death by an elephant. This happened in a busy street in Mumbai and the mahat was taking the elephant for begging. The who was killed was drunk and was also teasing the animal.

Living with nature is almost forgotten that's why such type of heinous incidents are taking place. One should clearly remember here that animal world is entirely different than our world. If we see t.v channel animal planet we can learn how beautifully humans are interacting with ferocious animals like bear, wolf lions etc, without any problems. Some one rightly said "If you want to catch a pigeon you need to become a pigeon"

Nature has been maintaining ecological balance since the inception of our planet. But deforestation and in the name of development we failed to maintain balance. The result is chaos and natures furry. Man should not conflict with wild animals. Here the elephant didnto come to him, instead the dead person went to the raging elephant. What a insane act. Where the wisdom gone... For all accidents man is to be held responsible and not the nature...

its the mistake of the photogher despite several warnings ventured very close to the elephants just for the sake of photography.
HOw we people dont wish to be interupted in our personal life same way these elephant are also living a social life, even they dont wish to be interupted.
the mind set of photographer on or during any ocasion he needs to get the phtos first irrespective of the situation.
then anything goes wrong blame it on the security personal for not taking appropriate measures, that the mentality of people.
when you know there's danger people interfere more in such type of sitution.
