Washington, Feb 21: The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has indicated that it will drop its case against Elon Musk’s SpaceX, which was accused of discriminating against asylees and refugees in its hiring process.

The lawsuit, initially filed under the Biden administration, alleged that SpaceX violated federal law by refusing to hire non-citizens. However, in a court filing on Thursday, federal prosecutors requested to lift the case’s pause in order to dismiss it with prejudice, preventing future charges on the same matter.

SpaceX has consistently denied any wrongdoing. The move marks one of the first legal cases against Musk’s companies to be formally dropped under President Trump’s administration, which has been reshaping regulatory actions against Musk’s businesses.

The decision comes amid broader federal shake-ups, including the dismissal of the acting chair of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), impacting investigations into Musk’s companies.
