Today I feel proud and happy to see people are crossing the boundaries of religion and coming together. Religion is a faith which every human needs to follow in their own way but when it comes to social harmony we must keep our religion aside and stad united. I salute you My Christian and Muslim brothers of Udupi for showing the unity of us and I request all people of India to follow this example.

I agree with you but for one reason. No political party is interested in bringing peace among different comminities. That is why so much commotion among us now and then even in erstwhile DK dist comprising Udupi and Mangalore inspite of the fact that these two places are known for communal amity in olden days.Even today the situation is not bad as we presume.Individuals are still good in any religion. There are good matadhipathis, priests, church priests,Mullahs etc.,We are basically tolerent.Either DVS or any other political people are interested in their personal/party gains only.Be it Congress or BJP.We should be cautious/ignore these elements and forge ahead for a better peaceful tomarrow inspite attempts here and there to disturb the good.
I also request the respected daiji readers not to post hurting/instigative comments towards any religion/religious matters.Because bad tasted comments always provoke to resent or relaiate.Let us refrain from creating such situation.Regards.

As I was growing up in Bombay as well in Mangalore I have see so many Hindus used to visit our churches for annual feast, Christmas with love of thier nieghbour like us. They are still Hindus and are still Christians no one converted them Bottom line here is respect, love, peace, help etc makes one a great citizen of this earth with great humna development and changes into peace. Look at our Christians done too much work towards education and the fruit of that hard work has benifited to millions of people in India who are realy true hero's and believe in that education to provide peaceful life., respect other religion etc. Great work of Christians

Good or bad depends on onlookers eye/insight.Any deed done with good intention will deliver good only.As I see here, its a spontaneous act by good christians. There are good or bad elements in every religion, however I say that this act of christians is not with commercial motive.May be yes for business... its for cementing communal amity amongst two religions and spreading love.

There are many people among us asking 'what did the government do for the welfare of people since so many years after independence'?

This is a perfect opportunity for such ostriches to take part in the welfare activities. You can do it by supporting institutions such this Mutt or any other organization that looks after the poor through various services.

There is a government rule that contribution made to such organizations gets you a tax rebate. You just have to attach the receipt of amount paid to them when you file your own income tax.

These institutions are registered with the government to do service to the society and the governments invites more people to establish such units because it cannot reach out to each and every person. One rules the organizations must abide by is that they must serve the public without bias (no difference in religion/caste).

So, those who attack such institutions over false allegation of conversion do not succeed because if it proved, the government cancels the registration of the organization. Sad that people who did such malicious allegation were not punished but the institutions continued to run which proved their genuine service to the society.

Let people who roam the streets, with daggers hidden to nail such institutions, learn a lesson at-least now !

These institutions too a benefit in disguise. They have various relaxations and grants given by the government (that comes from our taxes).

“YADA YADA HI DHARMASYA SAMBHAVAMI YUGE YUGE” this is what Shrikrishna repeated several times when he taught Bhagavad Gītā to Arjuna in middle of the battle field. It is heartwarming to see that even devoted Muslims too rendered their services to this “Paryaya Rituals” I hope peace will prevail in our Coastal Area as well as in entire India for ever

Once again a good gesture showed by Christian and Muslim associations. This is what we Tulunadu people (Dakshina Kannada & Udupi) famous for. This type of action will wipe off disbelief of the peoples. When one religion respect the other there will be no problem. People will live in peace and society will prosper. I request all religious organization to work for the downtrodden people of thier respective religions. Instead of provoking the poor people for communal violence.

    God bless u all.....
