Yenepoya University conducts PHTLS 10th edition course for enhanced trauma care training

Mangaluru, Apr 1: The department of trauma care management, YSAHS, conducted a Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support 10th edition course certified by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) on March 26 and 27 at ACTS-YEN – Yenepoya (Deemed to be University).

About PHTLS:

National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT’s) Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is recognised worldwide as the leading continuing education program for pre-hospital emergency trauma care.

PHTLS is to promote excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved in the delivery of pre-hospital care. PHTLS courses improve the quality of trauma care and decrease mortality. The program is based on a philosophy stressing the treatment of the multisystem trauma patient as a unique entity with specific needs. PHTLS promotes critical thinking as the foundation for providing quality care.
