Buenos Aires, Apr 11: India wrapped up a stellar performance at the 2025 ISSF World Cup in Buenos Aires, securing eight medals—four gold, two silver, and two bronze—and finishing second overall, just behind China, who topped the medal tally with 11 medals (5 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze), as reported by Olympics.com.

India’s gold medal heroes

  • Sift Kaur Samra – Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions
  • Rudrankksh Patil – Men’s 10m Air Rifle
  • Suruchi Singh – Women’s 10m Air Pistol
  • Vijayveer Sidhu – Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol

These gold medal performances highlighted India’s dominance in both rifle and pistol disciplines, marking a promising start to the shooting season.

Silver medal winners

  • Esha Singh – Women’s 25m Pistol
  • Arya Borse / Rudrankksh Patil – Mixed 10m Air Rifle Team

Bronze medal winners

  • Saurabh Chaudhary / Suruchi Singh – Mixed 10m Air Pistol
  • Chain Singh – Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions

In a notable performance, Saurabh Chaudhary and Suruchi Singh overcame Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker and Ravinder Singh with a 16-8 scoreline in the bronze medal match of the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Despite missing out on the podium this time, Bhaker remains a strong contender, having earned Olympic bronze earlier in Paris 2024.

While Manu Bhaker and Swapnil Kusale (both Olympic medalists) didn’t medal this time—Kusale didn’t participate—India’s emerging shooters showcased depth and consistency, a strong indicator ahead of future international events.

India’s medal haul positions the country as a top shooting powerhouse and sets the tone for a competitive year in global shooting sports.
