Mangaluru, Apr 13: The Project Omega 2025 – 24-hour national level hackathon was successfully conducted at Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management (YIASCM), Kulur campus, Mangaluru by department of Computer Science in association with Yenepoya IT Club, YIASCM. The event brought together 22 teams from across the country, all competing in a dynamic and innovation-driven environment.
The event was inaugurated by Dikshith Rai, founder and CEO of CodeCraft Technologies, Mangaluru. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Suparna Shetty, founding director and CEO of Eterna Infotech and MyTrueSkills Pvt Ltd. Both sessions were presided over by Dr Arun A Bhagwath, principal. Also present on the dais were vice principals Dr Shareena P, Dr Jeevan Raj, and Narayan Sukumar A, Dr Rathnakara Shetty P, head of the department, and Vasudeva Shenoy U, PG coordinator.
















Participants worked across four cutting-edge domains:
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Data science
- Cybersecurity
- Artificial intelligence & Machine learning (AI & ML)
The hackathon featured two judging sessions and three mentoring sessions. A panel of nine esteemed jury members, comprising both industry experts and academic professionals from internal and external institutions, guided and evaluated the participants throughout the event.
The winners of Project Omega 2025 are as follows:
1st prize – Rs 50,000 and Project Omega 2025
Trophy team: Dall Iluminators

2nd prize – Rs 30,000 and Project Omega
Trophy team: Radiant Decent

3rd prize – Rs 20,000 and Project Omega

Special jury awards were also presented to:
- Team Optimus from NMAMIT, Nitte
- Code Comet from Yenepoya Institute of Technology
Project Omega 2025 stood as a testament to innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and creative problem-solving among the brightest young minds in the country.
