Udupi, Jan 23: Inter-varado (Deanary) SEVA trophy 2012 cricket match was organised by ICYM Holy family church, brahmavar, here on Sunday January 22 at Nirmala High School Grounds, Brahmavar.

Fr Ivan Rodrigues, Kallianpur Deanary ICYM director inaugurated the match by lighting the lamp. Fr Anthony Vaz, parish priest of Holy Family church, Fr Dominic, Holy family church, council secretary Janet D’Souza, ICYM coordinator Jeevan Fernandes, Santhosh Barnes ex – president of SEVA Spirit Brahmavar and Mario Barnes – president of ICYM Brahmavar unit were present on the dais.

At the valedictory ceremony Fr Anthony Vaz, Fr Sudeep, Santhosh Banes, Ravi Prakash Gonsaleaves and Joyal D’almeida, members of SEVA Spirit, Brahmavar, Christopher Fenandes, Mark D’Souza, Sebastian Rodrigues and Janet D’souza were present.

Man of the Series  was won by Melric of St Pius X, Hanglur ICYM Unit for his 58 Runs and 10 wickets for the entire series. Along with that he won the best blower of the tournament.

Man of the match was won by Praveen of Immaculate Conception of BVM church Gangoli for the 4 wicket along with the hat trick in the final match.

SEVA Trophy 2012  was won by the Gangoli Church ICYM unit by beating the Pius Nagar ICYM team in the finals. As many as 18 teams participated in the Match from the twin vardo (Denary) Kundapur and Kallianpur.
