Brooklyn, May 27: A terrifying video captured the moment a three-year-old girl was hit by an e-bike rider while running into a bike lane at Bedford and Park avenues over the weekend, according to the New York Post.

The footage, shared on X by Williamsburg 365 News, shows the child stepping out of a double-parked car accompanied by a man before she inadvertently ran into the bike lane around 7:40 pm. The cyclist, a 22-year-old man possibly working as a delivery driver, was heading south on Bedford Avenue when he sideswiped the girl, knocking her off her feet.

The man accompanying the child quickly picked her up after the accident. A woman was also seen exiting the double-parked vehicle. The toddler sustained minor injuries to her lower stomach and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital. The cyclist remained at the scene and was not arrested.

The incident sparked varied reactions on social media, with some blaming parental negligence, others pointing to reckless bikers or issues with double parking near bike lanes.
