Udupi: Swami Vidhyaprasannateerta Inaugurates Savita Samudaya Bhavan

Udupi, Jan 25: “The new generation has been disregarding the age old profession of their ancestors in pursuing higher studies. Everyone should have high regard for their profession. Savita Samaj has bolstered the dignity by constructing a landmark community building,” said Swami Vidhyaprasannateerta of Subramanya Mutt.

He was speaking at the inaugural of the Savita Samudaya Bhavan at Ambalapady, during a function held at Shyamili auditorium on Tuesday January 24.

The state minister of higher education Dr V S Acharya, in his inaugural address, said that the convention of Savita Samaj had indeed bolstered the dignity of profession. He announced that the state facilities meant for the Samaj will be restored shortly.

“A district Rajyotsav Award will be conferred annually on a distinguished individual from Savita Samaj for his or her extraordinary contributions and talents,” he announced.

MLA K Raghupati Bhat, after inaugurating the new office of Savita Samaj Vividoddesha Souharda Sahakari Sangha, said that Savita Samaj has set an example by constructing a community building that would be of help to the poorest in the society.

Bannaje Govind Bhandary presided over the programme.

Satyavati group rendered the prayers. Taluk Savita Samaj president Katpady Keshav Bhandary welcomed the gathering. Sadashiv Bangera Kurkalu proposed the vote of thanks. Somashekar Bhandary and Subash Bhandary compered the programme.
