Mangaluru: Potholes return to Nantoor Road days after repairs; traffic police fill gaps

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, June 17: Despite being repaired just three days ago, Nantoor Road in the city is once again riddled with large potholes, causing inconvenience and raising concerns about the quality of the work carried out.

Commuters expressed frustration as the newly resurfaced stretch quickly deteriorated following light rainfall and steady traffic.

On Tuesday morning, motorists and two-wheeler riders struggled to navigate the uneven road, with many forced to swerve dangerously to avoid the gaping potholes.

With no immediate action from civic authorities, traffic police officers took the initiative to place stones in the worst-hit areas to prevent accidents and ease vehicle movement.

Residents and daily commuters are demanding a more permanent and quality-driven solution from the concerned departments. They question the durability of the repair work and urge the authorities to ensure proper road standards, especially on busy routes like Nantoor Road.
