Mangalore, Jan 30: Parishioners of St Lawrence Church, celebrated their parish day on Sunday January 29 at Bondel, here. The celebration began with the Mass which was followed by games and then later, lunch prepared by the parishioners.

Fr Vijay Machado was the main celebrant and parish priest Fr Andrew D'Souza, assistant parish priest Fr Vincent Lobo and Fr Biju were the co-celebrants for the Eucharistic celebration. A cultural program was held in the evening.

The programme began with a prayer song by the choir members. The YCS members of the parish ignited the blessings of god with a prayer song. The chief guest of the programme was Fr Stevan Maxim Alburker, who is basically from Bondel parish and is now presently serving in Shimoga diocese.

Fr Andrew D'Souza, Fr Vincent Lobo, Reginald D'Souza and Rudolph Pinto among others were present. ‘Bhangar Munis’, a drama, was also enacted.

Rudolph Pinto welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering and Reginald read the report of the previous year. Fr Vincent, Fr Stevan distributed the prizes to the winners of the competitions conducted throughout the year. Pius delivered the vote of thanks to the Dignitaries and the parishioners. Vinoline D'Souza compered the programme.
