Bantwal: TP President Shailaja Bhat Urges Parents to Spare Time for Children

Bantwal, Feb 1: The taluk level children’s and parents’ interactive camp was held under the aegis of the women and child welfare department and Karnataka Bala Vikasa Academy at Sumangala Kalyana Mantap, Panemangalore, on Tuesday January 31.

TP president Shailaja Bhat presided over the programme on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Shailaja said that parents must spend quality time with their children, instead of amassing property and wealth.  “The parents must take the lead in the integral development of children both in studies and sports,” she said.

TP steering committee president Madhav Mave inaugurated the programme.

TP vice-president Dinesh Amtoor, town council steering committee president Vasanti Gangadar, women and child welfare officer Gracy Gonsalves, and education department official Sujata Kumari were the chief guests on the occasion.
Leelavati of KMC, Manipal, Karnataka Bala Vikasa Academy district committee member Mounesh Vishwakarma, Yakshaloka director Gopal Anchan, and teacher Nityanand were the resource persons.

Child welfare project officer Usman welcomed the gathering.  Assistant child welfare project officer Sudha Joshi compered the programme. Over 200 students of different schools across the taluk and 150 parents participated in the programme.
