Udupi, Feb 2: “Mahatma Gandhi viewed intellect and creativity in everything; such features are to be embodied by the students in their studies,” said Professor Varadesh Hiregange of Manipal College of Mass Communication.

He was speaking after inaugurating ‘Gandhi Smruti–2012’ organized by Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike at MGM College auditorium, on Monday January 30.

“We had to find out what interests the young generation.  Politics has no Gandhi ideology.  Meanwhile, we can hope for a change by a few crusader youth,” said former state minister Jayaprakash Hegde.

Udupi Komu Souharda Vedike president Rajashekar and Professor K Paniraj, Manipal Institute of Technology were present on the dais.
