Beed, Aug 12: A 20-year-old woman from Telangana was allegedly gang-raped in Beed district, Maharashtra, leading police to register a case against four persons.

According to officials, one of the accused approached the woman, who was alone at Parli railway station on Friday night, and lured her away on a motorcycle. He took her to a tin shed where three others joined him. The trio allegedly raped her through the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, while the fourth accused assisted them.

The Ambajogai rural police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) for gang rape, criminal intimidation, and voluntarily causing hurt.

Police said the investigation is ongoing to ascertain further details and confirm if any arrests have been made.
