Udupi, Feb 5: The 12th Children’s Sahitya Sammelana organized as part of Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birth anniversary was inaugurated at Barkur National Pre-university College here on Saturday February 4.
It was organized under the aegis of Shanthivana Trust of Sri Kshetra Dharmastal and other organizations.
The event was inaugurated by Sullia’s Sneha Education Trust president Dr Chandrashekar Dhame. Kota Viveka English medium High School student Uttama Prabhu was the president of the sammelana. Barkur St Peters Church parish preist Fr Alban D’Souza spoke on the occasion and wished the event and children a grand success.
Udupi education minister Ashok Kamath, Sammela working president Srinivas Shettigar among others were present.
