Supaul, Aug 26: Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday joined her brother and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in the ongoing ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar’s Supaul.

Vadra, Rahul, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and other INDIA bloc leaders were seen sitting on the roof of an SUV, waving at large crowds that thronged the route. The yatra resumed after a one-day break.

Addressing reporters in Araria earlier, Rahul Gandhi had asserted that all INDIA bloc partners in Bihar were united for the upcoming assembly polls and would soon release a common manifesto. “We are both ideologically and politically aligned, respecting each other, and the results will be fruitful,” he said, describing the alliance as a “good partnership.”

He also launched a sharp attack on the NDA government, alleging that the Election Commission’s special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar was “an institutionalised attempt to steal votes to help the BJP.”

The 16-day yatra, launched on August 17 from Sasaram, will cover over 1,300 km across the state before culminating in Patna on September 1. So far, it has traversed through Gayaji, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Munger, Katihar and Purnea, and will next cover Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, West Champaran, Saran, Bhojpur and Patna districts.
