Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Feb 6: Former director general of police, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, P C Dogra, said that internal security in the country is facing biggest challenges in the form of terrorism, illegal immigration from Bangladesh, and naxal activities.

He was speaking at the seminar on ‘internal security’ organized by Hindu Jagran Vedike on the occasion of its silver jubilee, at the auditorium of SDM College here on Sunday February 5.

“Terrorism has been bleeding India in different forms. A handful of terrorists have been able to terrorize crores of Indians. Hawala money, cyber crimes, and fake currency notes have been working hand in hand with terrorist elements. Vote bank politics has been splitting our unity. The phrase, ‘Hindu terrorism’, has been coined to hide Jihad,” he felt.  He said that the naxal activities, which was witnessed normally in forest areas inhabited by tribals in the past, have spread to cities, and in some cases, naxals provide security for illegal mines in north India. He said that recently, ‘WikiLeaks’ had laid bare the information that a major portion of the income of naxals comes from corporate companies who support them, he explained.

Dogra said that Assam state has now been infested by about two crore illegal migrants from Bangladesh, who have been mocking the security system of the country.

Retired air vice marshal, K Ramesh Karnik, who presided over the programme, felt that internal enemies have been the most difficult challenge Hindus have been facing.

Leader of Hindu Jagran Vedike, Vasudeva Gowda, and Satyajit Suratkal, were present. Shambhu Sharma welcomed. Prithviraj compered the programme.
