Bantwal: Collision Between Maruti Omni Vans on NH 75 Injures Six

Bantwal, Feb 6: Six passengers were wounded in a head-on collision between two Maruti Omni vans at Kudrebettu near Kalladka on Mangalore–Bangalore NH 75 at about 1.30 pm on Monday February 6.
The wounded were admitted in a private hospital in Mangalore, and two are in a critical state.








 
Ravi, a native of Mogarnad, was on his way along with his family members in one of the ill-fated vehicles to attend the annual ‘Jatra’ celebration at Mecchi, near here, while Melvyn, an occupant of the other vehicle was driving towards Mangalore to attend a function there.  Both the automobiles collided at Kudrebettu, near Kalladka.

Both the automobiles were fully damaged due to the impact.  A toddler was also among the passengers but escaped with minor injuries.

Bantwal town police registered a case in this regard and investigations are in progress.
