Labour Ministry warns public of fake job websites

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 3: The Ministry of Labour and Employment issued a public warning on Wednesday regarding two fraudulent websites, viksitbharatrozgaryojana.org and [suspicious link removed], that are falsely claiming to be government undertakings and inviting job applications.

In an official statement, the ministry clarified that it has no association with these portals and advised citizens against sharing personal information, engaging with their content, or making any payments. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check unit also confirmed that viksitbharatrozgaryojna.org is a fake portal.

These websites are attempting to deceive individuals by posing as official recruitment platforms under the name of the ministry.

The ministry stated that the authentic portal for the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, a scheme announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day, went live in August.

For accurate information and services related to the scheme, employers are advised to use the official government portals: pmvbry.epfindia.gov.in or pmvbry.labour.gov.in. The ministry urged citizens, employers, and other stakeholders to be vigilant against such fraudulent activities.

The ministry also recommended that any suspected cyber crimes be reported to the official government portal at  cybercrime.gov.in
