Mangaluru, Nov 6: The Little Sisters of the Poor at Maroli, Mangaluru, will organise a Mini Carnival on Sunday, November 15, from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm to raise funds for the maintenance of their home for the aged and meet the essential needs of its residents.
The institution currently provides care and shelter to 70 aged and destitute persons, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Its mission is to offer holistic care, including physical, mental, moral and spiritual support, enabling the elderly to spend the twilight years of their lives with comfort, happiness and dignity.

The home depends entirely on the generosity of donors and benefactors to meet its day-to-day expenses and provide essential facilities to its residents. As regular collections and donations are insufficient to meet all its requirements, the Little Sisters of the Poor organise an annual Mini Carnival to mobilise funds.
This year, the institution is seeking additional support for the repair of its roof, which requires considerable expenditure. Contributions from well-wishers and the public would help undertake the repair work and ensure the safety and comfort of the elderly residents.
The congregation has expressed gratitude to its donors and benefactors for their continued support over the years, particularly towards the maintenance of the home and construction of its building. Their generosity has helped provide the residents with a safe and comfortable environment.
The Little Sisters of the Poor have invited the public to participate in the carnival through financial contributions or voluntary services.
The institution has also assured donors and well-wishers of the prayers of the sisters and elderly residents, who will remember their intentions and those of their loved ones in their prayers.
