Head constable killed, policewoman injured in coastal road accident

Mumbai, Sep 9: A 52-year-old head constable died and a policewoman was injured after being hit by a speeding car on the Coastal Road in Mumbai on Tuesday morning, officials said.

The accident occurred at 7:53 am near a connector of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link while the officers were on bandobast duty. Both sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a private hospital, where Head Constable Dattatray Kumbhar succumbed. Constable Riddhi Patil is undergoing treatment.

The car driver, 46-year-old Ramchandra Rane, has been taken into custody. Both personnel were serving at Worli police station.

    Thats the driving in India.Important is they hold stairing in hand press the Peadl so fast as can .Not important how many injur die ,?Feel very sad to hear this.How long it takes to train Police personnal .Now they are dead.Why didnt driver die when he is driving so without speed limit ?May the souls rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathies to their family .Make him pay for his family,then he understands what it means.
