Puttur: Accident, Injury – Furious Students Damage Omni

Puttur, Feb 8: Students of Vivekananda College here damaged a Maruti Omni vehicle, after two college students were injured in an accident involving a motor bike carrying two students and an Omni vehicle on Tuesday February 7 evening.

When the students of the college were returning after College Day programme on Tuesday, a Maruti Omni vehicle coming from the opposite direction hit a motor bike carrying two students, and injured both of them. The Omni driver abandoned the vehicle at the spot, and fled.

The injured have been identified as K Krishnaprasad from Kukkaru in Bettampady village, and Adarsh Bolwalkar from Padre, Kasargod. Both of them are final year B Com degree students of Vivekananda College.

Enraged at the incident, the students went berserk, and damaged the vehicle. The injured students are recovering at Pragati Hospital here.
