Udupi, Feb 9: The women’s wing of Congress staged a protest in front of Clock Tower at service bus stand on Thursday February 9, condemning the rave party held during the ‘International Festival’ at St Mary’s Island recently and viewing of porn video clippings by ministers Laxman, C C Patil, and Krishna J Palemar in the legislative assembly during the session on Tuesday February 7.

Addressing protesters, District Congress Committee president Gopal Poojary said that the national respect is in shambles owing to MLA Raghupati Bhat’s involvement in organizing the rave party during the International Festival.

“Both chief minister D V Sadanand Gowda, who was in favour of the party with the potential of generating tourism income, and MLA Raghupati Bhat, for his role in organizing rave party, must tender their resignations,” he demanded.

Entrepreneur and Congress leader Pramod Madwaraj said that Udupi is famous for Malpe fisheries port and Sri Krishna Mutt, but it’s making news for the wrong reasons due to a few MLAs. “Minister Palemar is indirectly responsible while MLA Bhat is directly responsible in this regard,” he said and sought the resignation of Bhat.

Congress leaders Veronica Corenelio, Shyamala Bhandary, Amrit Shenoy, and Murali Shetty were present on the occasion.

Why ladies only are participating in "nanga naach" dances? Why the women protesters do not go to protest against ladies who participate in "nanga naach" film, drama, dance programmes or video clips?
