St Theresa’s School commemorates Patron’s Day with Holy Mass & outreach drive

Media Release

Mangaluru, Sep 25: St Theresa’s School observed its Patron’s Day on Thursday, September 25, with a solemn holy Mass followed by a meaningful social outreach initiative. The Mass, celebrated at St Sebastian Church, Bendur, brought together students, teachers, and parents in a spirit of gratitude and reflection.

The eucharistic celebration was led by Fr Deep Fernandes, who, in his homily, emphasised the importance of childlike simplicity and love. He encouraged students to emulate the example of their patroness, St Therese, by performing small acts with great love a path that leads them closer to Christ.

Following the spiritual observance, the school community continued the celebration through its annual outreach programme. In collaboration with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), students and teachers distributed packets of biscuits, toasts, and rusks to various ashrams, orphanages, and old age homes across the city.

The initiative not only brought joy to the recipients but also served as a powerful lesson in compassion and service for the students. Through this act of kindness, the school community reaffirmed the belief that true celebration is found in giving, and that building a more compassionate society begins with simple, heartfelt gestures.
