Lucknow, Sep 28: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday sent a clear and uncompromising message to criminals and anti-social elements, warning them of consequences similar to the crackdown witnessed in Bareilly last week. The Chief Minister, speaking in Balrampur during the foundation laying and inauguration of 124 development projects, vowed to stamp out what he described as threats to national integrity, including 'Love Jihad', illegal religious conversions, and cow smuggling.
"We must stay vigilant against anti-national activities. If anyone is found involved in such acts, the administration will deal with them directly and decisively," Yogi said. He urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to authorities, assuring them of swift and strict action.

Yogi's remarks came in the backdrop of the recent unrest in Bareilly, where over 50 individuals were detained and cleric Tauqeer Raza Khan, head of the Ittehad-e-Millat Council, was arrested following violent protests in support of the ‘I Love Muhammad’ campaign. The Chief Minister condemned those who, in his words, "mislead minors" into joining politically and religiously charged demonstrations, arguing that children should be in classrooms studying math and science, not on the streets holding protest placards.
“Those orchestrating these protests are not only destroying their own futures but also that of innocent children. Their actions will bring nothing but ruin,” he said, referencing the recent violence.
In a tone laced with warning, Yogi reminded offenders of the fate of “trouble-makers who were caned in Bareilly,” suggesting that similar treatment awaits those who disrupt peace or endanger public safety. He added that Balrampur’s Maulana, currently under investigation for illegal conversions and money laundering, serves as another example of what lies ahead for those who defy the law.
Taking aim at radical ideologies, he said, “Anyone dreaming of 'Ghazwa-e-Hind' or attempting to destabilize the country through such means will find themselves on the road to hell.”
Amid his hardline messaging, Yogi also emphasized the government’s development agenda. Among the 124 projects launched were a new university building and a medical college named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
A video of Yogi’s fiery speech was shared on his social media accounts and amplified by BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya, underscoring the political significance of the moment as the state prepares for high-stakes electoral battles ahead.
