Wellness centre inaugurated at K J Somaiya Hospital, Sion

Mumbai, Oct 15: A state-of-the-art wellness centre was inaugurated on Tuesday at K J Somaiya Hospital, Sion (Eastern Express Highway). Sameer S Somaiya, executive chairman of the K J Somaiya Trust, inaugurated the centre by cutting the ribbon, lighting the ceremonial lamp, and breaking a coconut to mark the auspicious beginning.

Speaking on the occasion, Sameer Somaiya said, “Our goal is to build a healthy and happy society. At K J Somaiya Hospital and Research Centre, we are fully committed to ensuring the well-being of those in ill health and working towards the creation of a healthier community.”

Lt Gen H S Kahlon, secretary of the Somaiya Trust; Dr Manisha Bobade, CEO; renowned cardiologist and Outlook Best Doctors Mumbai awardee Dr Sadanand R Shetty from K J Somaiya Hospital and Research Centre and Somaiya Super Speciality Hospital; dean Dr Maithili Nayak; and heads of various departments were present at the inaugural event.

Following an interactive session with the trust’s distinguished chairman in the presence of key stakeholders, the guests were given a guided tour of the wellness centre’s facilities.

Lt Gen H S Kahlon said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of this wellness centre dedicated to the care of body, mind, and soul. The centre offers specially designed health check-up packages for senior citizens, women, cardiac and diabetic patients, along with Ayurvedic and holistic treatments — all under one roof.”

Dr Manisha Bobade compered the event and delivered the vote of thanks.
