Solapur, Oct 25: A shocking incident has been reported from Madha in Solapur district, where a married woman was allegedly lured and raped at a hotel.
According to police, the accused Pandit Vasant Gore, a resident of Antaragaon in Bhoom taluk of Dharashiv district, deceived the woman and took her to a hotel in Madha. There, he allegedly forced himself upon her.
Following the incident, a complaint was filed at Madha Police Station, and a case has been registered against the accused under Section 376 of the IPC and provisions of the Atrocities Prevention Act.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Anjana Krishnan visited the spot and conducted a panchanama. Police have launched a manhunt for the accused, who remains absconding.
