Mumbai, Nov 21: Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Ltd, a leading name in India’s cooperative banking sector, has been honoured with the "Best-in-Class" award for cybersecurity implementation.
The accolade was presented at the Global FinTech Awards 2025, held on Friday evening at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai, recognising the bank’s robust and innovative approach to cybersecurity.
During the ceremony, Sajeev Anand, president of Global Intelligence, and Dr Ravi Menon, board member of Bank of Baroda, presented the award plaque to Suryakant J Suvarna, chairman of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Ltd, in recognition of the bank’s exemplary efforts in strengthening its cyber infrastructure.


The event was attended by the bank’s senior leadership, including managing director & CEO Vidyanand S Karkera, joint managing director Dinesh B Salian, and chief information security officer (CISO) Bhaskar Rao, who formally accepted the award plaque on behalf of the institution.
This recognition highlights Bharat Co-operative Bank’s commitment to adopting best-in-class cybersecurity measures, ensuring the protection of customer data and fortifying the bank’s digital banking ecosystem against emerging threats.
