Mangalore: SDM Management Fest 'Shreshta-2012' Draws to a Grand Close

Mangalore, Feb 19: "The two-day management fest 'Shreshta-2012' has exposed students to larger spheres of various sectors and enabled them to gain expertise, skills and meet future challenges," said S G Jagajeevan Das, principal, Nethravathi Career Training Institute.

He was speaking at the valedictory of national-level inter-collegiate management fest 'Shreshta-2012' organized by the Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research, SDM College of Business Management (SDMCBM) on Saturday February 18.

The theme of the fest was 'Chakravyuha' that focused on preparing students to be a part of the corporate world.

Das spoke on the scope for MBA graduates in the corporate world and also advised them to take up government jobs. "Less number of people here choose the government sector as compared to other regions in the country," he added.

Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management bagged the overall championship and Manipal Institute of Management took home the runners-up trophy.

Dr Devaraj K, director, SDM Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research presided over the programme.

Dawn Prakash and Ramya Shetty, the staff co-ordinators and Preetham Amin, Akshatha Rao and Darel Moras, the student co-ordinators were present on the dais.
