Mangalore, Feb 27: The activists of DYFI and SFI held a torchlight rally here on Saturday February 25 in support of the general protest that will be staged by CITU on Tuesday February 28.

DYFI district president Muneer Katipalla, inaugurating the torchlight protest in front of district headquarter, on Saturday, said that the union government has been allowing MNCs for foreign direct investment (FDI) even in the farming sector.

The general protest that will be held here on Tuesday is an opportunity to urge the union government to be pro-labour,” added Katipalla.

The torchlight march was held through Rao & Rao Circle, Clock Tower, and A B Shetty Circle.
