New Delhi, Feb 19: The much-anticipated Vivo V70 Series 5G is all set to be launched in India today at 12 pm IST. The upcoming lineup will succeed last year’s Vivo V60 and V60e models and is expected to include two variants — the Vivo V70 and the all-new Vivo V70 Elite.
Ahead of the launch, Vivo has teased several key details about the smartphones, claiming that the series will feature the narrowest bezels — measuring just 1.25mm — in the under Rs 50,000 price segment in India.
The Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite will be unveiled via a livestream event scheduled for 12 pm IST. The company will broadcast the launch on its official YouTube channel.
As per reports, the Vivo V70 5G is expected to be priced starting at Rs 45,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. A higher 12GB + 256GB option may be priced at Rs 49,999. The handset is tipped to be available in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow colour options.
Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 Elite is likely to start at Rs 51,999 for the 8GB + 256GB configuration. The smartphone is also expected to come in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants, priced at Rs 56,999 and Rs 61,999, respectively. It may be offered in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black shades.
The Vivo V70 Elite is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the standard Vivo V70 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.
Both smartphones are likely to run on OriginOS 6, based on Android 16.
The series is teased to sport a 6.59-inch 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 459ppi pixel density, and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness.
In the camera department, the lineup is expected to feature a Zeiss-powered 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and an additional ultrawide lens. For selfies, both models are likely to pack a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.
