Udupi, Mar 2: K Bharath, JD(U) candidate for the forthcoming bypoll of Udupi – Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituency, held a press meet on Thursday March 1.

Addressing media persons, Bharath said that he had presented his nomination papers as a JD(U) candidate. 

“The state BJP and Congress have already made a secret understanding. The BJP-led state administration has been dividing people on the basis of caste and religion. The communal wing of the Sangh Parivar has been terrorizing people across the state. Unemployment, lack of infrastructure, and state benefits to farmers have to be resolved on a priority basis,” he added.

Bharath urged party activists to convince the voters on the existing political situation of the state and to seek voters to exercise their franchise for the JD(U). 

John Fernandes, Manjunath Patil, Basavaraj Desai, and Latha Uday Shetty were present at the press meet.
