Tehran, Mar 6: Middle East conflict intensified on the seventh day as Iran launched fresh missile attacks targeting Israel and United States military bases in the region, further escalating tensions across West Asia.
Israeli defence systems intercepted several incoming missiles, while Israeli forces carried out retaliatory strikes on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. At least eight people were reported killed in the attacks in Lebanon.
The ongoing conflict has caused heavy casualties across the region. More than 1,230 people have been reported killed in Iran, over 70 in Lebanon and about a dozen in Israel. Six US troops have also died during the hostilities.

Amid the escalating situation, the US Embassy in Kuwait temporarily shut down operations following Iranian retaliatory strikes targeting locations linked to American forces in the Gulf region.
The conflict has also triggered wider economic concerns. Global markets have reacted nervously, with oil prices rising sharply and shipping traffic through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz slowing down due to security fears.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump indicated interest in influencing Iran’s future leadership, signalling a possible shift in Washington’s approach as the war continues to unfold.
The escalating hostilities have raised fears of a broader regional conflict, with several countries closely monitoring developments in the Middle East.
