Moodbidri: Over 1,000 Students Participate in MVSIT Annual Athletic Meet

Dr M V Shetty Institute of Technology (MVSIT) organized an annual athletic meet at MVSIT, Thodar, on Saturday March 3.
 
Vandana Shanbagh Pai, Olympian and Arjuna award winner, in her inaugural address said, “Currently, encouragement given to sports and games is far better than those in the old days. Institutions are promoting the athletes by giving them all the facilities and help and also conducting mega events like annual sports meet,” she said.

Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust secretary Dr M Ramgopal Shetty, in his presidential address, said that their institutions are providing maximum sports facilities for the students to excel.

Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust trustee Dr Divyanjali Shetty was the guest of honour.

MVSIT principal Dr Sandeep J Nayak welcomed the gathering. Physical director Rajprasad read the annual report.  The estate officer Akshay Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.  Electronics and communications lecturer Shabana Begum compered the programme. Over 1,000 students participated in the annual sports meet.
