Mangalore: Fire Erupts in House at Dongerkery

Mangalore, Mar 6: Fire erupted in a house in Vasudeva copmpound in Dongarkery here on Tuesday March 6, causing an estimated loss of Rs 25,000.

The house belongs to H Seetaratna Rao.

Fire had been lit in the bathroom to heat the water for bath. After a while, the intensitty of the fire suddenly increased and spread. The bathroom was entirely charred.

Kadri fire service rushed to the spot and managed to douse the fire. However, they had difficulty in reaching the house as the lanes in the locality are narrow.

No casualties were reported.
