Daijiworld Media Network – Mysore (SP)

Mysore, Mar 6: Two students of a residential school in K R Pet in the district committed suicide on Monday March 5 morning. The fact that Shruti (13), and her roommate-cum-close friend, Divya (13) had ended their lives came to light later.

The incident was reported from Kittur Rani Channamma Residential School in K R Pet. Both the girls had been to their villages on Saturday. However, the officials noticed that they neither attended  morning prayer, nor appeared for breakfast. The teachers and warden then went to their room, to find that they had hanged themselves.

Both the girls were mild-mannered, and were always found together. The students and teachers said they had noticed that both the girls appeared to be distracted since early morning on Monday, but could not comprehend any reasons for their sudden decision to end lives together.
