Udupi: BJP Accuses SCDCC Bank of Campaigning for Congress

Udupi, Mar 6: The BJP staged a protest here on Tuesday March 6, over allegations that the staff of Brahmavar branch of SCDCC Bank and members of Navodaya self-help-groups urged people to vote for Congress in the forthcoming Udupi–Chikmagalur Lok Sabha bypoll.

Addressing protesters, MLA K Raghupati Bhat said that the directors of SCDCC Bank campaigned on behalf of the Congress by soliciting the votes of self-help group members when the latter arrived to deposit their money at the Brahmavar branch.

H  Ratnakar Shetty, Mohan Shetty, Ravi Shetty, and Suprasad Shetty were present on the occasion.
