Kasargod, Mar 6: A buffalo, which had been brought to a slaughterhouse here at Tekkil here, escaped from its captors, and started running helter-skelter. As its mad race for life had endangered the lives of the people, the police killed it with the help of a bullet.

The buffalo in question had been brought for butchering, to a slaughter house in Star Nagar, Tekkil.
