Theft at Mapusa market, six shops targeted

Mapusa, Apr 3: In a reported theft incident at the Mapusa Market, unidentified miscreants targeted six shops, breaking into the establishments and decamping with cash kept inside.

According to sources, the theft took place during the night, with the accused gaining entry by forcibly opening the shop premises. Shop owners discovered the break-ins the following morning and alerted the police.

The exact amount of cash stolen is yet to be ascertained. Police have initiated an investigation and are examining the area for clues to identify and apprehend the culprits.
