Udupi, Mar 7: The election office of JD(U) was inaugurated here on Tuesday March 6.

JD(U) state general secretary Manjunath Patil, in his inaugural address, said that JD(U) was conceptualized due to family politics. “BJP has been withering due to religious overtures. The situation has arisen to bartering rights in lieu of money. JD(U) does not seek richly politics. It will work effectively as the victory signs loom over the forthcoming by polls,” he said.

JD(U) Dakshina Kannada district convener Harish Alevoor said that the party will reign if women join in the struggle. “The environmental department has forgotten its responsibility. BJP has been causing divisions between Hindus and Muslims. Christians are fighting within themselves. The forthcoming by polls will see the voters franchise their valuable votes for morality in politics,” he added.

JD(U) Udupi–Chikmagalur Lok Sabha candidate K Bharat said that the by polls will be decisive in state politics. “The national political parties who are politicking with money are trying to garner votes luring the voters. Communal and family politics have to be curbed. The Kannadigas are suffering owing to ill-rule of former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and former prime minister Deve Gowda. India is a democratic country wherein Hindu, Muslims, Christians and all citizens are equal,” he said.

JD(U) Udupi convener Lata Shetty and JD(U) Dakshina Kannada spokesperson Vishanth D’Souza were present on the occasion.
